For redheads and brunettes, cranberry juice will give you natural highlights. Just take 1/4 cup of cranberry juice mixed with 1/4 cup of water and rinse it through your hair after you have shampooed and conditioned it. Blondes should use lemon juice instead. Last week, I blogged about planning on getting my hair cut. I actually went to get my hair cut this week as a Frederic Fekkai model. So I wanted to fill you all in on how it went.
I was so nervous, sitting there with a bunch of other girls in the waiting room. One by one, stylists came downstairs and picked out a girl, or asked us what kind of hairstyle we wanted. And slowly girls left with the stylists.
I got even more tense as the time went by and I didn't get picked. It seemed like no one wanted to work with my curly hair (everyone else had straight hair). But I knew that they would do a good job because everyone I saw who had already been styled looked fantastic.
When I finally got paired with my stylist, Vivian, I was excited because she had curly hair, too. She looked at my hair for a while and came up with an idea about what she wanted to do with it.
Then she called over one of the head stylists and discussed her ideas and strategies (in French) about it. Of course, they asked me how I felt about it, too. But I said that I trusted whatever they wanted to do. And I think it turned out great!
I didn't end up with bangs, like so many of you suggested. I ended up with a lot more layers and Vivian took off a lot of length. I feel like my hair is lighter and looks more sophisticated. Overall it was a great experience.
So, what do you guys think? Would any of you be a hair model?
Love,
Stacey

Every girl cuts herself shaving. This is a trick taken from Russia. When you cut yourself shaving, rub the cut with cloves of raw garlic. The garlic will help heal the cut faster. ("Passport to Beauty" by Shalini Vadhera)

Blonde girls (with blue eyes) may have more fun, but Van Morrison knew what he was doing when he fell in love with a "Brown Eyed Girl."
From the creators of BADgal Lash, comes another lash plumper to make your peepers pop. Benefit's BADgal plum, the third mascara in the BADgal series, features a rich, purple hue that enhances eye color - especially if you're blessed with brown eyes. The purple is a natural complement to the brown. Try BADgal plum with some lavender eyeshadow and a wine-colored lipstick for a sultry look that's truly sexy.
I can tell you that I never feel as delicious as when I'm sporting BADgal plum. Finally, a mascara tailor-made for the brown-eyed girl!
Love,
Rose

At the end of the day when you are getting ready for bed, splash your face with about 15-20 splashes of ice cold water. The ice cold water will reduce puffiness and encourage smooth and healthy skin.

'Tis the season ... to shop! Yesterday, the CosmoGirl interns went walking in a makeup wonderland — Sephora. BFs, BFFs, Mom, and Dad: Please stuff our stockings with these amazing beauty products!
Tricia (Fabulous Fashionista):
Tricia is a girl with a flair for dramatics. She knows that the way to catch a boy's attention is by winking a smoky-styled eye right at him. Start with Tricia's favorite new product: Kat Von D's True Romance Eyeshadow Palette in Beethoven. The palette includes a variety of blues, plums, and browns, all of which are tailor-made for some serious flirting action.
Amanda (Artistic Amore):
It seems as though Gwen Stefani can do no wrong. The successful solo artist (and now mother of two) just released her Harajuku Lovers Fragrance. There are five scents, each of which is named after an initial in her signature acronym, L.A.M.B. There's Love, Lil' Angel, Music, and Baby. There's also G, a coconut-scented confection whose bottle looks like a porcelain doll version of Gwen. Amanda's favorite is by far Music, a mixture of pear, sweet pea, and wood scents.
Mike (CosmoDude):
Even our CosmoDude put in his two "scents." Unlike "Last Christmas", Mike thinks you should get your boy toy something a little less musky and a little more fresh. His vote for a clean scent is Bvlgari Aqva Pour Homme , a mix of mandarin and mineral amber that evokes the sexy Mediterranean Sea. European vacation, anyone?
Me! (Makeover Maven)
If and when possible, I like to have it all. With Too Faced World Domination, I'll be taking the first step. This all-in-one package includes eight eye shadows, a duo bronzer, a face illuminator, six lip glosses, a brow powder, an eyeliner cake, and a blush. Not to mention that it's packaged like a jewelry box, complete with a miniature Marilyn Monroe to replace the standard revolving ballerina.
What do you want to find underneath the Christmas tree (or next to the menorah)?
Love and lipstick kisses,
Rosie (and the CG Web-tern crew)
Putting concealer on your eyelids before applying eye shadow will help the shadow last longer.

This is a great face mask with peach and brandy as the key ingredients. Mash up a peach (you can use ripe, canned or frozen peaches) and mix in a tablespoon of brandy. Apply this mixture to your face and leave it on for 20 minutes, then rinse it off. Your face will look and feel instantly refreshed. View/Post comment
We asked Victorias Secret models for their favorite beauty tips. Check it out.
To make your lips look fuller, wear a lip gloss with shimmer. It reflects light so it gives the illusion that your lips are plump." Heidi Klum
"Never pick at pimples! It spreads the bacteria around and can actually cause more pimples. Instead, try to leave it alone when you're at home, and just dot on a little cover-up if you need to go out." Heidi Klum
"I believe that beauty comes from within, so you need to eat healthy in order to have beautiful skin and hair. Everyday, I have a juice mixed with green powder, which has chlorophyll and spirulina. I think it helps keep my skin clear." Miranda Kerr
"A good trick is to put olive oil on the ends of your hair or use an olive oil treatment. I do that and I leave it on overnight then rinse it. Its really moisturizing." Miranda Kerr
"I like to use a mascara that has plastic or rubber bristles. They separate your lashes better than the traditional ones." Selita Eubanks
"Its important to wear oil-free sunscreen, even if you have a pimple. I think it helps to prevent the pimple form scarring." Selita Eubanks
"If I get a pimple, I dot on a little bit of tea tree oil. It dries it out so it goes away more quickly." Adriana Lima
"You shouldnt experiment with too many skincare products. I stick to a little moisturizer and then sunscreen when I am in the sun." Adriana Lima
"Once a week, I put conditioner on my dry hair, comb it through, wrap it in a bun and leave it on all day. At night, I rinse out the conditioner and my hair is soft and moisturized." Marisa Miller
"Even if I am not wearing makeup, I always curl my eyelashes. It makes me look more awake, and I dont even need to apply mascara." Marisa Miller

Baby oils and bath treatments arent just for babies (or their "baby mamas"). They contain natural, nourishing ingredients for your skin. Look for brands that have lavender and chamomile as ingredients. glam.com

Every girl has a few beauty products that she can't live without. A few things that you will always find in my bag are chapstick, lip gloss, and mascara. But as much as I love makeup, this isn't the most important part of my routine. Recently, the beauty product that I am the biggest fan of is something very natural, but so necessary: moisturizer.
I use a couple of different moisturizers and like to mix it up every couple of days. Two of my favorites are Aveeno Daily Moisturizer and Neutrogena Oil Free Moisturizer. Applying it just once a day makes such a difference. My makeup goes on smoother, my skin doesn't dry out, and I have a healthier glow.
I've also been trying out some eye creams. I never used to use a cream specifically for the eye area but I love the results that I'm getting from them. Garnier Nutritioniste Skin Renew Daily Eye Cream is one that I highly recommend. Since the skin around the eye is especially sensitive, it makes sense that you would want to use a cream designed for that. It also helps with getting rid of puffy eyes or circles if you're running low on sleep, like I usually am!
Without using moisturizer, my makeup would not go on as smoothly, and I would get dry areas on my face. I like to be active outside, and with the cold weather coming moisturizer is a must. This is why I have made the permanent addition of moisturizer to my daily routine.
Tell me, do you moisturize daily?
xoxo,
Lauren

We know you love Clean & Clear's Morning Glow Moisturizer with SPF 15. It keeps skin acee-free and sun-protected, not to mention that it's designed to wake you up in the morning. But be sure not to apply it too often! Over-moisturizing can clog your pores.

Apply perfume right after you take a shower or bath. Your pores are more open then and will more easily soak up the scent.
