banish breakouts!

February 2, 2008 at 3:00AM by Kristen O'Gorman |

Pimples

In high school, my face was constantly breaking out. It drove me crazy! But my mom was right — I did grow out of it. By the time I started college, my face rarely broke out anymore. So imagine my surprise when this week, my skin started breaking out like crazy! I have to admit, I've been slacking with my skin-care regimen. I've even fallen asleep without washing off my makeup a few times (ew!). But I have definitely learned my lesson!

I went to Target to check out the skin-care products, and I was totally overwhelmed by how many choices there are! After debating for half an hour whether an "oxygenating facial scrub" or a "warming cleanser" was a better choice, I decided to stock up on my old favorites that never fail to fix my skin. If you're breaking out, check out these products:

Clean & Clear Continuous Control Acne Cleanser
I'm a huge fan of Clean & Clear face washes. In fact, there's a good chance that I've tried every single one on the market. The Continuous Control Acne Cleanser is my favorite. It's medicated (with benzoyl peroxide), so it keeps fighting breakouts even after you rinse it off. Plus, it leaves your skin feeling cool and refreshed.

Noxzema Triple Clean Pads
Astringent pads are superconvenient for those times when you just don't feel like washing your face. I use them at night when I'm way too tired to go through my full skin-care regimen!

Clean & Clear Maximum Strength Persa-Gel 10
This stuff works like a miracle — put it on at night, and in the morning your face will be almost completely clear! I use it every morning to prevent pimples from even forming.

Tell me, what are your favorite skin-care products? What products do you rely on to save your skin?

xoxo,
Kristen
