MAKEUP

1. Apply a black liquid liner along your upper lash lines (try Mark On The Edge HookUp Liquid Liner in Cleo, $5, meetmark.com): Start by drawing a thin line as close to your lashes as possible, then wing it out slightly just past your outer corners. If you can see the skin between your lashes, repeat the line, coming in from a different angle (for example, if you held the liner parallel to the floor as you drew the line the first time, hold the liner pointing down toward your lashes the second time). If your line looks messy, repeat again until it’s smooth and neat (it’s okay if the line gets slightly thicker).

2. Brush two coats of black mascara on your top lashes (try Mark Scanda-Lash Hook Up Mascara in Blacklash, $5, meetmark.com).

3. Finish your look by brushing a tawny rose blush on the apples of your cheeks (try Mark Good Glowing Custom Pick Powder Blush in Cameo Glo, $6, meetmark.com).

4. Use a lip brush to apply a deep berry lipstick (try Mark Dew Drenched Moisturlicious Lip Color in Juicy, $6, meetmark.com). Gently dust over the lipstick with translucent powder (try Mark Powder-Matic Go Anywhere Loose Powder, $8, meetmark.com), then apply another coat of lipstick. (Lauren’s makeup artist Amy Nadine says this layering technique makes your lipstick last longer and makes the color look bolder.)
