Okay, sure, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz’s engagement is old news by now. But want to know something funny? I sort of knew about it weeks ago! Before they made an official announcement, I interviewed Ashlee as part of our upcoming Hot 100 summer issue. Toward the end, I decided to ask her if she had any plans for a summer wedding. And, well, she didn’t exactly say no. “Oh, yeah, we’re planning on Vegas or in front of Target with the paparazzi there,” she responded. She definitely said she was only playing with me, but I just felt something was up. I don’t know anything about the pregnancy rumors (she and Pete say they are untrue), but she IS getting married. So if it happens in Vegas, you heard it here first! (And the next time you’re at Target, keep your eyes peeled for a hot redhead — or blonde? — in a wedding dress!)
