Aveda Gets Greener

Everyone knows that Aveda is a super awesome company that is committed to using as many green ingredients as possible in their products and using eco-friendly processes. And if you’ve ever been to an Aveda salon, you’ve experienced all of the pampering and the amazing aroma from their products.

And to add to all of that, as if we needed another reason to love Aveda, they’ve found another awesome way to help save the earth. Aveda is the first beauty company manufacturing with 100% wind power. This means that the new wind turbines they fund generate enough wind energy to offset all of their electricity use at their production facility. The production of wind energy creates no air emissions like carbon dioxide or sulfur dioxide. It uses no water and requires no water treatment during the entire process. Basically they’re energy super heroes and they’re leading the way for other beauty companies to go green.
