Avril Lavigne launched a new site, but it has nothing to do with her music. The punk rock pop star started Perez Lavigne in attempts to fight back against Perez and his gossip blog, whose comments have hurt her feelings before. And while I frequent Perez more often than is healthy (it's for my job, I swear ...), I can see where Avril's coming from. What do you think — should celebs fight back against negative bloggers or should they just let it go?

While show hosts Letterman, O’Brien, Leno, and Stewart have all joined the picket line in support of their writers, Ellen DeGeneres has stirred up some controversy by crossing the picket line, says Bitten and Bound. Although the talk show host says she won't do a monologue in support of her writers, she said she isn't willing to let down her fans who have flown out and made previous plans to attend her show. Still, though, without her writers, her fans may not have much of a show to watch in the future months. What do you think?
