actor brad renfro dies at 25

Sad news to report tonight. Actor Brad Renfro was found dead this morning in his Los Angeles home. The cause of death has not yet been determined. He was 25 years old.

Brad was best known for his role in The Client opposite Susan Sarandon. He also starred with Jonathan Taylor Thomas in Tom and Huck and with Joseph Mazzello in (one of my all-time favorite movies) The Cure. Other credits include Sleepers, Apt Pupil, Ghost World, Bully, and Telling Lies in America.

Brad had a history of struggling with alcohol and drugs, and also had a few brushes with the law.

He had recently finished working on a film called The Informers with Winona Ryder, Billy Bob Thornton, and Brandon Routh.

Our hearts go out to his family and friends.
