gimme more, britney!

I'll give her this much: Britney Spears's hair and makeup looked pretty last night at the 2007 MTV VMAs. But, um, that's about it....

I've never been one to really dis Britney, even with all her crazy antics — from the head shaving to the baby without a car seat scandals. And even though I did think there was a tad too much hype leading up to her "comeback" last night, I must admit, I was pretty excited when the lights dimmed and the show started.

If there's one thing Britney's always had going for her, it's that she's a true performer. She always steals the stage with her bold moves and charming presence.

So what happened last night? I mean, the moment her comeback song, "Gimme More," started, she kinda just...well, STOOD THERE. I was the one screaming at the TV screen, "Come on, Britney, GIMME MORE!" She gave us NOTHING. Even the way she did the little schoolgirl giggle at the top of the song, it was like her hand was forced up there to her mouth. What happened to the girl who sticks every move?

I do feel bad for her that everyone is dissing her...yet, here I am joining that bandwagon, huh? (Sorry, Brit!) But I just feel like she could have done SO much better and made this her moment to prove to the world that she is still a star.

But enough about what I think. I want to know what you guys think!
