clothes shopping online

This week I have a question for you, CG!s: Have you ever bought clothes off of the internet? I’ve always wondered about this because I know that people do it (people buy everything off the internet…even ice cream), but I never have.

Shopping for clothes online goes against everything I’m used to, everything I associate with shopping! When I think of shopping I think of chatting with friends while browsing, sifting endlessly through racks until one amazing top makes it worth your time and dragging heaps of clothes into a dressing room to compare how they look on the hanger to how they look on you.

It’s not like I have a general buying-things-online phobia. I buy books for my college classes online all the time (way cheaper than the book store). But clothes are very different from books.

My clothes have to look and feel a certain way and I have to be comfortable in them. I just can’t be sure about all of that by looking at a picture on my computer screen. And those sizing charts that are supposed to guarantee that the clothes you buy fit exhaust me; it’s just too much work when I could just go to the mall.

So, what about you? Have you found any sites that you love that make it easy to buy clothes online? Or are you like me who gets too nervous about sizing charts and online return policies to finally press the BUY button?
