The Ultimate Prom 2008

For more than 950 students from St. Francis Prep High School in Queens, the biggest night of high school got even bigger, when MyPromStyle.com put on the Ultimate Prom ... and I got to be there! It was my FIRST prom, and it couldn’t have been better. I was hanging out with America’s Prom Queen winner Katelyn Morgan, who was interviewing celebrities like Ashanti, JoJo, and the cast of St. Claire Falls on the pink carpet. It was really high energy, with flashbulbs going off all over the place, and tons of interviews going on at once. It’s amazing how celebrities are able to say focused, and still manage to look so glamorous!

The ballroom was filled with tables, but there were stations set up just outside where students could get professional makeup touch-ups, take silly pictures in the photo booths (and I must admit, the CosmoGirl staff had more than our fair share of fun in there!), and sip on mocktails. Once the prom got started, JoJo — who was also Prom King Mike’s date — brought out Universal Motown artists Suai, Jada, and Lloyd (Prom Queen Graziella’s escort) to perform, and even surprised the crowd with an impromptu song of her own. Even Ashanti made an appearance onstage, and invited everyone to her concert this week in Bryant Park ... how sweet!
