old "school," new "school"

I was really excited when I heard the Wildcats were back in action for High School Musical 2. I didn't really have high expectations because sequels are usually a lot worse than the originals. The previews for HSM 2 looked pretty good (I had some of the songs stuck in my head days before the movie actually came out!), but I was skeptical about the country club location. I was expecting this one to be a flop. But boy was I wrong! More than 17 million viewers tuned in last Friday to see what Troy and the gang were up to.

So, how did the two movies compare? In my opinion, HSM 2 had better music, with songs like "What Time Is It?" and "You Are the Music in Me." And the dance moves were really creative. Overall, I still like the first one better though—it sent the message that it's okay to be yourself. But the second movie was just a lot of drama. Plus, the moment we've all been waiting for finally happened [SPOILER ALERT!]: Troy and Gabriella kissed!
