Black to the Basics: Black Nail Polish Trend

Dude, is it just me...or is the madness over black polish strange? For starters, it's not like it's a new item. Black polish has always been on the market (even drugstore brands have made it for YEARS) and secondly, it's not a new trend: a lot of people I know (myself included) have been wearing it for years.

So why are bottles of Chanel Nail Enamel in Black Satin being sold on ebay for up to $90? It just seems crazy to me. I guess it's just a "Tipping Point" (p.s. everyone should read this book; it actually explains why this kind of stuff happens).

So who's obsessed with this trend and who thinks it's ridic b/c you already wore the stuff to begin with? Tell me! For those of you desperate to get your hands on some black nail polish, head to the drugstore and look for Milani Nail Lacquer. Wet n' Wild also makes a great one! And neither will cost much over two or three frosties (has anyone seen that funny Wendy's commercial? ha!)!
