Fallin' for Fall

On my way into work today, the leaves were crunching beneath my feet, the wind was whipping my hair around, and a familiar smoky scent clung to the air...that only means one thing: It's officially fall! I know you girls in school are thinking, duh, of course it's not summer anymore...we've been in classes for months! But for us working gals, the change of seasons isn't so obvious—there's no "back-to-school" feeling when you have to work all year long. And besides, we've had such nice weather up here in New York that I've been able to stay in my summer mindset. Until Now. Sadly, I think it's time to put away the tanks and flimsy dresses and break out the coats, gloves, hats, sweaters, and scarves. Just thinking about that stuff makes me cold! Brrrrrrr.

But before I go and build myself an igloo, I'm going to take advantage of this season's awesome weather—and all of the fun traditions that come with it. No matter how old I get, I know I'll never lose the urge to go pumpkin-picking, jump in a huge pile of leaves, or drink lots and lots of warm apple cider. And that's just what I intend to do this weekend. I'm heading down to Central Pennsylvania, which just so happens to be pumpkin-patch central! And I don't care if I'm the oldest "kid" out there, I'm going to find me the biggest pumpkin to take back with me to the city.
And maybe some mini ones, too? I just can't resist those adorable little guys!
