Free vintage shopping!

So over the past few days, I've worn lots of "old" jewelry. Two days ago, I wore these little gold heart earrings I've had since I was 6 (maybe even when I was 4 when I got my ears pierced) and I got a million compliments on them. Then yesterday, I wore my grandmother's watch from at least 60 years ago and people kept asking me where I got such a cool antique. Finally, today I am wearing this big cocktail ring that I found in my mom's jewelry box that she got for her Sweet 16 (about 30 years ago...sorry mom!) and three people have already asked me where it's from. I love finding old stuff and making it new again! It's the best to shop out of your own closet or someone else's who doesn't mind when you find something amazing and "borrow" it....permanently!

I'm thinking I will have to raid my mom's jewelry closet again when I go home for the holidays because who knows what other hidden treasures are in there? Have any of you ever worn something from when you were little or gotten something from your mom/grandmom/aunt etc? I'm looking for ideas :)
