should rappers watch their language?

April 16, 2007 at 8:00PM by Mai Hoang |

Ludacris It's been all over the news that shock jock Don Imus was fired for calling some female college athletes "nappy-headed hos" on his radio show. In his defense, Imus (who is not Black) said that gangsta rappers (like Ludacris, pictured above) use far worse language when talking about Black women. He's right, they do! But now lots of people are taking them to task for the double standard. Rev. Al Sharpton said, "We must deal with the fact that ho and the b-word are words that are wrong from anybody's lips." Do you agree with this? Or do you feel that hip-hop artists have the right to freely express themselves? I'd love to hear your thoughts. Just post your comments below!
