hollywood dating trend: waitresses!

I guess the "trend" started with Matt Damon, who met his wife, Luciana, when she was mixing his drinks at a Miami bar. Then Nicholas Cage tied the knot with former sushi waitress, Alice Kim. And now Chris "Mr. Big" Noth and George Clooney are in serious relationship with women they met as cocktail waitresses. Not that there's anything wrong with waitressing, it's just curious that these powerful Hollywood hunks seem to be attracted to women who happened to be serving them. It's like those corporate execs marrying their secretaries back in the day. New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd has a theory: "Famous and powerful men [take] up with the young women whose job it was to tend to them and care for them in some way.... Women in staff support are the new sirens because, as a guy I know put it, they look upon the men they work for as 'the moon, the sun and the stars.'" So, do you think she has a point? Or is true love blind to social status?
