high school musical's triple platinum record

Whenever you hear about an artist going platinum, what does that actually mean?! Well, it's that they've sold one million of their CDs so if they've got double platinum, that means two million, and so on.

Nowadays, it's harder to score those records since people tend to buy individual songs online rather than actual entire albums, but leave it to the "High School Musical" soundtrack to become the best-selling album of 2006--and go triple platinum! Impressive!

I always knew I was super lucky to be the only press person in the world on the set of the movie back in the summer of 2005 (Check out this embarrassing pic of Zac trying to teach me to dance!). I remember toe-tapping in the corner of the gym to "Get'cha Head in the Game" take after take after take (and getting in trouble for accidentally moving a chair too far and messing up a shot!). And a few weeks later, I still found myself shopping at Costco and singing the songs outloud. I just knew these songs were going to become a huge sensation! I just never thought THIS big!

So I was so psyched when a huge box came in the mail last week and it was a High School Musical triple platinum record--and my name was even engraved in it! Too cool! I could believe it! Now I feel like a triple platinum recording artist--ha!

And Walt Disney Records is releasing another HSM CD on May 1, called High School Musical Live!, from the nationwide tour.

What do you guys think of HSM? Is it getting old or will you still go out and get the live album?
