One Little Mermaid, One Big Fan

I have a confession to make—I may regret it but here it is: Before "High School Musical" came along only one Disney movie had my heart—"The Little Mermaid." I know every word to every song. And okay, I'll admit it, I'm that girl who does the infamous "Ariel Hair Flip" whenever I'm in the ocean. So when I heard that the DVD was being released in a 2-disc special edition set this week I, er, flipped out! As if releasing the movie from the "Disney vault" wasn't enough, (where is this so-called vault anyway?!) they had to go and re-record songs from the soundtrack with Jessica Simpson and HSM's very own Ashley Tisdale!

Okay, so I don't expect everyone to understand my love for this little underwater flick but come on, you have to love a soundtrack that boasts those two amazing ladies. And it's not a crime to have "Kiss the Girl" and "Under the Sea" in a playlist next to The Raconteurs and Regina Spektor—at least not according to my iPod.

Please tell me I'm not alone in having a favorite animated Disney musical!
