Eggs. Cheese. English muffin mmm I passed a kiosk serving hot breakfast sandwiches on my run this morning, and spent the next five minutes whipping up a delicious one in my head. By the time I was distracted by something new (the river, which led to thoughts of the beach, then lifeguards ) I had covered half a mile.
The thoughts that jump around my head while Im exercising arent deep. Im not coming up with any save the world ideas. And yet, they amuse and/or inspire me enough that I keep on running.
My favorite fantasy involves winning races. Usually, I qualify for the Olympics and get sponsored by Nike, too. Then Ill pretend Im beating anyone I know who runsa friends sister, the cute guy I met the night before. Once Ive established that Im the fastest woman in the world, I might plan my outfit for the day or, more likely, dream about dessert places I should check out!
