Model Talk- America's Next Top Model

Can we PLEASE talk about the new season of America's Next Top Model? I have to say, watching the first couple of episodes of Cycle 7, I wasn't impressed with the contestants. They just didn't wow me, I guess. But now that the girls have undergone makeovers and have been strutting on the runway and in some photo shoots, I'm getting addicted to watching them evolve into glamorous models-in-the-making.

Last week's episode was really crazy, wasn't it? For those of you who didn't tune in, Tyra Banks had the girls walk on a long runway that was floating on top of a pool of water. It wasn't sturdy to begin with, and the girls had to wear super-high heels. The point of the runway photo shoot was to test the girls on how well they can maintain their poise and glam while literally stumbling to balance on this floating runway. If you think this sounds crazy, you should have actually seen it with your eyes! I didn't know whether to laugh or feel really bad for them! I used to watch ANTM and secretly be envious of the girls because they got to do all these awesome photo shoots and have their hair and makeup done by pros every week. Now, I kind of feel bad for them because they're forced to do the silliest things (and dangerous things, too? last week, one girl fell on the runway and cut her leg really badly!). Then, later on in the judging room, each girl had to walk in a straight line while balancing a bowl of fruit on her head. What ever happened to walking with a good ol' fashioned book on your head for posture, huh?!
