new year, new set of resolutions

This year my resolutions are simple and totally attainable:

1. To make my handwriting better with e-mail, IM and text messaging, it seems like there's never a chance to write for real anymore. And because of that, when I do write, my handwriting looks worse than chicken scratch. It's gotten so bad that I can't even read it sometimes! So this year, I promised myself to slow my brain down to handwriting speed (you can't write nearly as fast as you can type!) and improve my penmanship.

2. To let things go—I'm trying not to stress over silly things this year. I spend so much time worrying sometimes that I can't even enjoy the fun stuff that's going on all around me. In `07, I hope not to over think stuff and just let the little things go.

3. To get (or give myself) regular manicures—All my life, I've gnawed on my cuticles until they're inflamed and raw! It's disgusting, but now that I'm letting the little things go (see resolution #2), I shouldn't have to chew my fingers so much because my head won't be spinning. Plus, I'm a makeup artist on the side and I don't need people pulling away from my beat-up fingers as I approach their face with a makeup brush! So far, so good.
