Technology? Cute?

Okay, I'm not much of a techie girl. I'd rather spend my money on a fab new handbag than on a gadget. Cell phones, blackberries (or as my tech-addicted friend Melissa calls them, "crackberries"), mp3 players that do triple duty as phones, computers and personal stylists: they don't do anything for me.

In fact, I'd had the same simple flip phone (no camera! no fancy ringtone!) for the past four years. So no one was more surprised than me was when I fell in love with (gasp!) a new cell phone a month ago—and immediately had to have it. Now, before you think I've changed my ways and become a technophile, you should know that's not it. Even though my new Motorola Pebl phone has cool features like picture messaging and photo and ringtone downloads, I love it for a different reason: because it's so darn cute!

There's just something about the chubby, roundish shape and the soft-to-the-touch surface that makes me want to keep holding it. I know it's weird but I can't help it!
