So sad: Gilmore Girls is officially over in two weeks!
|
I read one of my favorite books in my AP English class in 11th grade: Sylvia Plath's The Bell Jar. While it was a very sad book about a girl going through depression, I was so moved (and amazed) by the writing and her honesty. That book is still one of my favorites of all time which is why I was excited to get a book of poems the other day called Your Own, Sylvia: A Verse Portrait of Slyvia Plath by Stephanie Hemphill. I'm in the middle of reading it right now, but it's so amazing because the author has written poems about Slyvia Plath as if she really knew her.
And just last week, I was excited to see that Julia Stiles will star and produce in the film version of The Bell Jar. I think she'll do a fantastic job because she's clearly pretty passionate about the novel.
So what books have you read in school (or just for fun) that have made a lasting impression on you? Post your must-reads below!
xoxo,
Cheryl
