v-day for the single girl

30 Days to Getting Over the Dork You Used to Call Your Boyfriend Book

A couple years ago, my friend's boyfriend broke up with her a few weeks before Valentine's Day — her favorite holiday ever. She's one of those girls who draws hearts on her notebooks when she's bored — a total daydreaming romantic. So I did an intervention and told her that by Valentine's Day, she was going to be better. And even though she was still sad come February 14, we had a girls' night out and had a great time. So when I saw the new book, 30 Days to Getting over the Dork You Used to Call Your Boyfriend: A Heartbreak Handbook, I couldn't help but wish I had had this for her back then! Clea Hantman tells you how to deal with the five stages of grief (denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance)—everything from a throwing pity party to yoga and making a list of your praise-worthy attributes to dancing around your room.

So how have you dealt with Valentine's Day if you're heartbroken? Sorry to be kind of depressing, I just know it can be a hard holiday to deal with at times.

xoxo,
Cheryl
