why girls love pink!

My 5-year-old niece REALLY loves pink. All her clothes and barrettes and little purses have to be pink. And she's not alone. Most little girls seem to love the color pink—and the same goes for big girls, too. Think Paris Hilton and Reese Witherspoon in "Legally Blonde" and the singer P!nk, to name a few prime examples of our pink-obsessed world. Well, a new study by scientists in Britain says that it's no coincidence. There seems to be an evolutionary basis for this preference for pink. Back in prehistoric times, the men would hunt and the women would gather fruit, etc. So it kind of makes sense that they'd find more food if they could identify red ripe fruits. That's one theory anyway. Is pink YOUR favorite color? What IS your favorite color? Mine's red.
