With exams right around the corner, this isnt exactly the most relaxing time of year for me. The late nights spent studying and writing papers are enough to drive anyone insane! But with a few de-stressing techniques, Ive figured out a way to get my work done without losing my mind:
Hit the mall. Even if you dont buy anything, shopping is a relaxing way to take your mind off calculus for an afternoon. When you get home, youll feel refreshed and ready to hit the books.
Laugh. Pop in your favorite comedy or a feel-good movie and let yourself escape for an hour or two. If you dont have time for a movie, watch an episode of a show that never fails to make you laugh.
Take a nap. When your eyelids are drooping and you can barely even hold your head up, youre probably not going to absorb anything youre reading anyway. Take a 30-minute nap and then get back to work. Dont nap for too long, though, because then youll just feel more tired instead of refreshed.
Eat healthy. Chowing down on greasy take-out and junk food every night during cram time will pack on the pounds real fast. Make it a priority to eat balanced meals and stock your desk with healthy snacks. Plus, your mind will work better if youre eating brain food rather than junk.
