the secret to amazing hair

Miss Jessie's Rapid Recovery Treatment

A few days ago, I wrote about my obsession with hair dye . As you know, repeatedly coloring your hair like I do can kind of turn it into straw. You might have split ends, breakage, dryness, and frizz. I had enough of that stuff for, like, 10 people. I wanted to follow-up on that blog post with a really fantastic hair product that I discovered. It's so amazing that I have to tell you girls about it today. Anyway, the product is called Miss Jessie's Rapid Recovery Treatment. I can't even begin to tell you how hair-transforming this is. I've tried almost every deep conditioner and masque on the market and this one is the BEST. The others left my hair soft right after I used it, but the minute I started to style my hair, you wouldn't be able to tell I just deep conditioned. But Miss Jessie's treatment contains shea butter and avocado oil, which really turned my hair into silk. It's soft, shiny, and frizz-free, even after blow-drying it. And I could swear my split ends are so much less obvious.

Anyway, here's what I did: my hair was un-shampooed but this needed to be applied to damp hair, so I just wet it in the sink (no shampoo). I took a golf-ball sized dollop of product, applied it from the middle of my hair to my ends, then twisted my hair on top of my head and covered it with a plastic shower cap. To make the ingredients absorb even better, I added heat with my hair dryer for 5 minutes. Then, I sat back, watched American Idol, and rinsed it out after about an hour. My hair felt soft! I was so happy. But I figured if it worked that well in an hour, it must work miracles overnight. So, I reapplied another golf ball of product to my hair, braided it, covered my pillow with a towel, and went to sleep. I woke up, shampooed, and was amazed at how good my hair felt. It hasn't looked this healthy since 1998.

Try this stuff if your hair needs a little rehab. It might be too heavy for girls with fine hair, but if you have medium to thick hair, it'll work wonders.

Wishing you a lifetime of good hair days,
Jill, assistant beauty & fitness editor
