dream designs for less?

Carolina Herrera, one of my dream designers, may finally be within my financial reach!!! There are whispers that she might be one of the next “it” designers to create a line that’s affordable for us fashionistas on a budget. Personally, I love this concept. After all, it means I get to actually purchase a Carolina Herrera dress!

To my surprise, not everyone shares my excitement. A few other fashion interns and I had a lengthy discussion about all this. Some agreed with me, while others hated the concept. In their opinion Vera Wang was meant to be a wedding dress dream, Stella McCartney was meant for Bergdorf’s, and Karl Lagerfeld was meant for Chanel. For many people “designer” does not mean easily accessible.

Any thoughts? Let my know what you CG!’s think. Love it or leave it?
