Economic Shopping

November 5, 2008 at 3:45PM by Deanne Hess |

Celebrate the election of Barack Obama by helping to jump start our economy...by shopping.

Sure, we are in a financial crisis, but the holidays are right around the corner so why not take advantage of in-store and online discounts?

Companies are struggling just as much as families, which is why stores like Macy's has just about everything discounted (up to 40 percent off!). Plus, be sure to stop by their customer service window before shopping to pick up a Macy's Savings Pass (worth an additional 11 percent off!).

Plus, online boutiques such as Shopbop.com is offering 20 percent off all their tops for two days only, just enter TOPITOFF at checkout.

There's no better way to score this season's hottest styles than to be a smart shopper and cash in on the discounts. But, be sure to do your homework. I found a 3.1 Phillip Lim skirt on sale at Nordstrom.com for 40 percent off, but at NeimanMarcus.com it was still full price. Hmm.

xoxo,
Deanne

P.S. Still looking for more discounts, or want to check out all the latest trends? Head to iloveshop.com and enjoy 20 percent off of everything, except jewelry.
