Endless Summer

Transition your summer wardrobe into autumn — just add layers.

This fall it's all about "Bohemian Chic" — in other words, layers upon layers. The best thing about that: You can wear all your fave warm-weather items into the fall. So take inspiration from these high-fashion looks, and don’t even think about packing away our five summer staples.

Maxi Dress

floral, belt, model, runway, nicole fahri, fashion model with flower dress, belt, and jacket Just add a belted sweater.... You were finally getting used to the return of the long dress and now you\'ve got to retire yours for the winter. Think again! Find yourself a fitted cardigan and a thin leather belt, and voilą! Slip on the sweater and tie the belt over it at your waist for a fun layered look we like to call the gypsy sophisticate.

Open-toe Shoes

socks, sandals, open-toed, shoes, tights, pink, skirt model in pink jacket, dress and open-toed shoes with socks Just add socks.... Socks with sandals used to be the ultimate fashion faux pas, but times, they are a-changin\'. Match a cute pair of thin solid-colored socks with your favorite pair of wedges or chunky heels. They can be ankle-length or knee-high (try tights if you\'re wary) — just make sure they aren\'t the white sport socks your dad wears.

Summer Tee

tweed, michael kors, model, runway, suit, fall, black, white model with tweed suit Just add tweed.... This wool blend was all over the runway this season — but not in the way you would expect. Say good-bye to sophisticated tweed suits over silk shirts your mom used to wear — this classic fabric has taken a turn toward casual. Pair your favorite tee with a tweed skirt or blazer and keep it cool with a touch of class.

Skirt

boot, skirt, combat, sequin skirt, top shop, girl, model, polka dots model in polka dot red and black sweater, blue sequin shirt and combat boots Just add boots.... They\'ve been hibernating in your closet all summer, just waiting for a little action. So, next time you\'re wearing your favorite skirt, take a pair of boots out of retirement and add a funky twist to your feminine look. They work with everything from floral to denim and are the perfect way to keep showing some leg into the winter.

Sundress

nicole fahri, dress, floral, striped shirt, belt, layers model with red and white striped shirt under a floral dress Just add a long-sleeve shirt.... Whoever said light, flowery dresses were only meant for warm weather was taking the term sundress way too literally. This fall, wear your favorite spaghetti-strap number with a long-sleeve shirt or turtleneck underneath. The stark contrast of a white dress over black is always eye-catching. Silk or cotton dresses work best.
