When I hear those two words - Secret Santa - anxiety hits. What if I get someone I don't know? How much money do I spend? What if they think my gift is lame?
When my sorority decided to do a Secret Santa, I closed my eyes and dove my hand into the bag of names. Lucky, I picked a girl I know pretty well. But when I started thinking about the perfect gift, I realized I still had no idea what to get her. With my $15 spending limit in mind, I hit the Web to find some options.
Lulu's is one of my favorite sites for inexpensive accessories. First, the Robin Tote, $37, caught my eye, but it's way over my spending limit. Have a friend who loves music, but you're not sure what CD she wants? This Stereo Wallet by Loungefly, $16, is an adorable accessory she'll actually use! You hate getting the generic hat, scarf and gloves set and your Secret Santa probably does, too. This year give legwarmers! Lulu's Cheeky Me Leg Warmers, $8, come in classic colors that she can try over her pumps.
Next I stopped by Target.com. Their jewelry is great for gifts. I liked the Xhilaration Cuff Bracelet, $11, the Merona Hearts and Horseshoes Dangle Earrings, $8 and the Xhilaration Coin Necklace, $13. I'm a sucker for cute slippers. I'm considering these penguin slippers for my Secret Santa - they'll definitely get her into the holiday spirit.
I pass Pylones in Grand Central every day and I never have time to look. Spring break is coming up, and your Secret Santa might appreciate a unique luggage tag and passport cover. The Hefyglass Carré perles rings would make a really cool gift and they're adjustable so size doesn't matter.
I got distracted from my Secret Santa gift for a second to search for some Twilight goodies. I found a goldmine at Hot Topic. Are you team Edward or team Jacob?
I know gift cards are so impersonal, but I think you’re covered if you put it in a cute ID case - it shows you put some effort into the gift. I like Charlotte Russe’s Floral Corduroy ID Case. Anything filled with chocolate or baked goods is a hit, and candy is another inexpensive way to complete a gift. This mug is awesome! Just fill with Hershey’s Chocolate Truffle Kisses or M&M’s Premiums.
You don’t have to buy your friends crazy, expensive gifts. Giving something small that makes your Secret Santa laugh or taking the time to bake her favorite cookies is a perfect way to show her you consider her a good friend.
What is my Secret Santa getting? I’m going to decorate a glass that will imply our inside joke and get a cookbook with a bookmark on the recipe for eggnog. She loves to cook, so I think she’ll appreciate it. Plus, I love arts and crafts! What are you getting your Secret Santa?

Tip #1 Ego-booster
All male egos need reassurance once in a while. Come to think of, ALL egos need the same attention! Remind him that he is the one you want to be with and all other guys in your life are just friends. As frustrating as it may be to remind him how you feel, everyone needs a little reminder from time to time. Jealousy stems from insecurity so he's probably just feeling a little self-conscious about where he stands with you at the moment.
Tip #2 Mirror Mirror
Show him his own reflection. And no, we don't mean put a mirror in front of him and tell him how gorgeous he's looking! Tell him how he is acting and how his actions are making you feel. Hopefully this soft-core approach will help the two of you talk things over and resolve the situation. If this soft approach doesn't work on your guy, the more hard-core approach would be to play him at his own game. Let's see how he feels when you go insane every time he looks at another girl, talks to another girl or generally breathes in the vicinity of another human being!Tip #3 Glass Houses
You know how the saying goes — "People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones?" Well it applies in this situation. If you're the jealous type who throws a fit when he's merely talking to another girl, how do you expect him to be different? If you can change your attitude and try to tame your jealous monster, he may do the same. Lead by example.

I've spent the last few months of my life obsessing over Twilight, and engrossing myself in everything with the books and the movie. On top of that, I've been listening nonstop to the breakout band, Paramore. So, imagine my excitement after hearing "Decode," the band's new single featured on the Twilight soundtrack — I fell in love. To make things even more exciting, I got to interview Paramore's lead singer, Hayley Williams. Read on to hear the details and why Hayley has a soft spot for all things Twilight.
WHAT DREW YOU TO THE TWILIGHT BOOKS?
"It had been a while since I had gotten into any book, let alone a whole series. But, a friend of mine gave me a copy of Twilight so I read it and just fell in love with it. I love vampires and that whole fantasy world — it has always been something that I have been into. On top of that, it's a great love story."WHEN WRITING THE LYRICS FOR "DECODE" WHAT PARTS OF BELLA AND EDWARD'S STORY WERE YOU TRYING TO CAPTURE?
"Just the tension — I think the tension in the book is really what kept me stuck to it nonstop. While I was reading, I wanted to find out what was going to happen with them and I was so into their story. I think it is very real for people my age. When we were writing "Decode" it definitely wasn't hard to crawl into the minds of the characters and say what I felt they would have said."
TEAM EDWARD OR TEAM JACOB?
"I'm not really team anyone. I'm definitely very neutral; I'm all about both of them, I think that there are parts of the story that you are really rooting for one guy and then like two chapters later you will be completely on the opposing side."
WHICH TWILIGHT CHARACTER WOULD YOU WANT TO PLAY?
"It’s hard to say, but I really love Alice. I think she is spunky and cool and I like her obsession with fashion."
TELL US ABOUT "THE FINAL RIOT!"
"We started filming it right before we went out for “The Final RIOT!” tour. Our friend Brandon Chesbro came out and basically stuck a camera in our face 24/7 for three and a half weeks. It was awesome. He caught some pretty frustrating moments along with some pretty wildly exciting and happy ones. I'm really happy with the way it turned out. Not only does it have a great live show — easily the best show of the whole tour – but it also has a video called "40 Days of RIOT!" which is behind-the-scenes and shows everything that goes when we aren't onstage."

Can Paris Hilton now add "heartbreaker" to her ever-evolving resume? It appears so! According to Perez, Paris Hilton and long-time boyfriend, Benji Madden, have ended their nine-month romance because Paris was tired of Benji's controlling attitude and felt like she couldn't be herself with him. As if that wasn't bad enough for ol' Benji, Paris was photographed making small-talk with her ex, Stavros Niarchos, this past weekend at a club in Miami. Call me crazy but I'm kind of surprised by this! I honestly thought these two seemed to work well together for some reason. Did you guys think Paris and Benji were destined to be together?
In more serious news, it looks like Jennifer Garner has a stalker on her hands! According to Celebitchy, Jennifer has filed a restraining order against a man who has not only been sending her weird packages and letters in the mail, but also randomly showing up at her home and following her around town. And get this, according to Jennifer, the man has been harassing her since 2002. That's six years, how crazy is that? I don't blame Jennifer for trying to keep him away, especially with her and Ben Affleck expecting baby #2.

As this is my last week at CosmoGirl, I find it only fitting to write a farewell blog. I thought after three months of living in New York, I'd be screaming to get back to the motherland that is England. Oh how miscalculated my thoughts were. Granted, when I'm back home I get to see my closest friends, gossip with my sister, eat my bodyweight in prawn cocktail crisps and drive my car anywhere and everywhere, but there's a lot I'm going to be leaving behind. So I guess this blog is dedicated to the people that made this experience what it was – the most amazing fragment of my life.

Daria. Thanks to you, I don't have to spend my first Thanksgiving on my own with a microwaved meal. Thanks to you, I always had someone to hang out with, laugh with and be sarcastic with. Thanks to your dry sense of humor and cynic nature, I always felt at home around you. You hold my New York memories of laughter.
Vanessa Friedman (CG intern) — Thanks to you, I was never short of boy troubles. How someone as funny, genuine and self-assured as you has boy troubles still astounds me! Thanks to you, I was able to experience life in a university dorm, however brief that experience may have been! I love to keep up with the latest fashion trends and celebrity gossip whether it be through browsing magazines or Websites. But I also think it's important to stay informed about what's going on in the world. There are so many issues around the world that we won't even know about if we don't take the time to investigate.
A Britney Spears documentary is set to air at the end of the month and what has been revealed so far is pretty juicy — and sad. Celebitchy tells us that Britney tearfully admits that she feels like a prisoner trapped in her life, like everyday is “groundhog” day. That is a brave statement to tell the world, but I still wonder why someone that feels trapped by the media would broadcast her feelings through the media. What do you guys think? P.S. She also admits that she married Kevin for all the wrong reasons. Surprise!
Are all celebrities friends? Well, Celebitchy also tells us that star couples Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer were hanging out with Nicole Richie and Joel Madden. That just seems so random and weird to me. But I also think John and Jen and Nicole and Joel seem random and weird as couples. I don’t mean to be a hater — just as long as they’re all happy, right?
And finally, happy two year anniversary to Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. In celeb years that’s like 30, right? I mean who would have thought two people that met in an audition for the role of Mrs. Tom Cruise would actually work out. He must have a really good casting agent. Long live Tomkat!
