i heart my tube socks!

Tube socks (knee high socks) are a part of my daily wardrobe. Is that weird? It all started when I wore knee highs for volleyball and soccer in middle school. And in high school, I wore tube socks with my uniform skirt all the time. Now, I like to sport my tube socks with shorts at the gym, with my boxers at night, underneath my jeans when it's cold, etc. Although, I have yet to wear knee high socks with heels (just not my thing right now).

Believe it or not, I get not-so-positive feedback about my socks. I hear a lot of, 'Wow totally 80's,' or 'Old school,' or even, 'What are you wearing?' Harsh, huh?!

A couple of years ago, this would have bothered me, and I would probably refrain from public appearances with my socks. Now, I say, "If I feel like wearing tube socks, I'm going to wear my tube socks!" This is my mentality: If you wake up one morning in the mood to wear a pair of neon-rimmed sunglasses, then wear them! Don't let other people inhibit your unique style and how you feel about it. It's what makes you YOU! It's quite silly that the length of my socks be the topic of a 'fashion hit or miss,' right?
