Fashion is constantly changing as we all know. And, designers have created some revolutionary styles, but I'm starting to believe that celebrities boyfriends are starting to have the upper hand! Once in a while I might see a celeb in what I think is a bizarre ensemble...yet the next day I find myself looking for that exact outfit. Lately, several Hollywood starlets have been seen sporting their boyfriend's laundry. Celebs such as Lindsay Lohan, Mary-Kate Olsen, and Rihanna can be seen in these oversized, yet stylish button-ups.
To get this look, you simply throw on a button-down shirt (that's larger than your typical size) over some tight bottoms and call it a day! To perfectly bottle the "boyfriend" aspect of this look, get the cutest shirts at Company 81. In case you haven't noticed this company creates only guys’ shirts...but so what? They are perfect! This designer has button-downs at pretty amazing prices (from $20-$60 dollars!). That just sounds too good to be true...I'm picking up a few right now!

Ever feel like your clothes are all old and boring and you just need a change? Sometimes I just want to go shopping and buy a whole new wardrobe. Well don’t stress. Rather than spending a fortune when your clothes are perfectly fine, think about trying out some fun, new accessories. It's amazing what a funky necklace or a stack of bangles can do to a simple racer back tank. And you don't have to hand over your entire paycheck to get cute, trendy pieces. Try local boutiques or stores in your mall like Charlotte Russe, H&M and Claire's. My favorite is Forever 21. Their jewelry starts as low as $2.80. I'm serious! You can't get any cheaper than that – and it's totally adorable. It's amazing what adding a few new pieces to your jewelry box will do for you.

Pre-fall 2009 clothes are about to hit stores and I am so excited! Not only does this mean amazing new clothes in stores (um, shopping anyone?), but new trends to try. I visited the Diesel showroom in New York City last week and I am so pumped for their fall 2009 collection to hit stores in July. The line is based on weather – lots of the pieces look like they were caught in a rainstorm – which gives them character. No need to break them in, they’ve already been through a lot. My favorite are the jeans(below) that look like they have been destroyed in a windstorm. So CUTE! All of the pieces can be purchased at Diesel stores starting in mid-July.

There’s a great new jewelry line called the Mother Earth Collection out from Alex and Ani right now that we are so psyched about! The line, by Carolyn Rafaelian was created exclusively for Tonic, and is inspired by "our wonderful planet and the many things that she gives us, one of the most important of these things being food."
The jewelry comes in Russian Gold or Russian Silver and ten percent of each sale goes to World Hunger Year which fights hunger in the United States and around the world through education, community organizations and support of local farms.

As soon as it reached 60 degrees, I ran to my closet and pulled out all of my summer shoes, I just couldn’t resist! Among all the flats, gladiator sandals and espadrilles lying around in my closet, I found my most reliable shoes: my J. Crew flip-flops!
These flip-flops are not only cute, they are super durable and last for a long time. As soon as I bought my first pair, I stopped buying the plastic ones that I would end up throwing away just a few months. I have about four pairs and the oldest ones I bought about five years ago! I’ve now fallen into this summer tradition (or possibly a summer addiction) in which I buy a new pair of J. Crew flip-flops each year. I wouldn’t say that I dress in the typical preppy style, but these shoes really do compliment most everything I wear. So head to the mall and check them out!

Half of my friends don’t go boating, even if they do, they’re not super intense about it. However, more and more I have seen both my guy and girl friends wearing "boat shoes." I don’t myself own a boat (crazy!), but I think I'm into it and will soon buy a pair of my own.
I’ve seen Sperrys on Zappos.com and at Nordstrom, as well as Aldo's original version. They’re supposedly very comfortable and perfect for summer! However, I wonder, how long this trend will last...Are they another UGG, crock or moccasin?
They’re preppy, but like a polo shirt — anyone can wear them! They are versatile, and instead of living the summer in flip flops or sandals you now can spend your summer nights wearing these.

I never thought the day would come when I found myself wishing for summer boots — but it has!

The Met Costume Institute Gala 2009 attendees were expected to get a bit crazy with their ensembles at the event last night... I mean, it's hosted by the COSTUME Institute. All in all, the red carpet was covered in amazing looks and beautiful clothes (Shout out to Jessica Biel. Lookin' good!). But, there were some flops, and I'm counting Madonna as one of them. I know she is the face of Louis Vuitton and she should wear their clothes, but I think the headdress and ruffles are unflattering.
Plus, I feel like I have totally seen that look somewhere... maybe at the Sex and the City Movie Premiere? Mayyybe.

Although I will miss, miss, miss New York when I leave in two weeks, I am excited to get back to the warm (ok, HOT) Phoenix weather. I had a surprisingly hard time dressing myself in the cold this winter, and I can't wait to be home and do what I do best — buy a summer wardrobe! Thanks to the miracle that is online shopping, I already have the essentials picked out:
An adorable one piece, lots of short dresses, super-tall wedges for night, flip-flops in every color for day, big sunglasses (a la Nicole Richie), a good fake tan (you can trust me on this one. I'm a redhead who has spent a lot of time finding a natural-looking and cancer-free tan), and unique hair ties for adorning a cute, summer bun. Whew!

We all know that Sarah Jessica Parker is a fashion daredevil and a designer darling in real life and as Carrie Bradshaw. Although I usually applaud her outfit choices, I must say I think that this time she has earned herself a fashion don't.
I do enjoy the fluorescent pink shoes, but I am not a fan of the bat wing shoulders on her tuxedo-style jacket, or of the way her shirt fits. I also am not digging hubby Matthew Broderick’s Sherlock Holmes-esque sideburns and stripey bow tie. The whole ensemble makes him look way older than he should.

The highly anticipated opening of Topshop has finally arrived! Even at 2 p.m. on Monday, this place was packed. And, rightfully so. The impressive displays and bright colors lure in customers to shop three floors of endless tops, knits, jeans, shoes, accessories, and more. The dressing rooms were especially filled with shoppers waiting up to 30 minutes to get in on the Topshop action!
The clothes are as trendy as they get, and bright colors are seriously in. Gigantic bangles and an extensive selection of jeans and super high heels were most notable. Kate Moss's line was also looking superhot. Prices are comparable to what you see on the Website (i.e. more expensive than H&M but not quite as pricey as Bloomie's). But don't forget, students receive 10 percent off their purchases all year long!
While there was some noticeable impact of the store's opening week stampede (i.e. the escalators were broken), I have no doubt that Topshop will become a New York staple. It was also a huge treat to finally see the store here in the city!

Who need the '60s and '70s when you can channel the Roaring '20s? Drew Barrymore was looking lovely at the premiere of Grey Gardens last night in NYC. But what do you think of this throw-back look? Is it fab or too retro for your taste? I mean she really went all out with the veil and all. But even though it’s so flapper, it kind of reminds me of Drew in the 1990s with the short bleached hair and the flower in her hair.
