I was out with my friend the other day and I complimented her sweater. She laughed and said I would never guess where it was from. I dont do the guessing game very well, so I said Target? No. Forever 21? No. She got frustrated with my coolness, so she told me Coldwater Creek. What! Her mom works there, so she got this adorable sweater, made for someone twice her age, for a great price. This inspired me to do some old lady shopping of my own.
I always pass the Ann Taylor windows and sneak a look. On their Website, I found this adorable silk tank. Its a great basic to wear under a black blazer or by itself with a skirt for a holiday party. Ann Taylor is a good place to shop for skirts. Theyre all in classic shapes that youll wear forever. I love the Newberry Tweed Skirt. Need a little sparkle in your life? Strut your stuff in the Tulle Paillette Pleated Skirt, and embrace your sexy grandma look!
You dont have to run to the juniors section every time you enter a department store. Ive found some of my favorite pieces in misses! Macys INC brand is one of my favorites. They have designer looks for much less, like the Short-Sleeved Cable-Knit Sweater Dress. I'm putting their Belted Puffer Jacket on my winter wish list! Don't forget to check the sale racks in the designer sections for great deals.
So next time your mom wants to take you to her favorite store, quit complaining and go along with her. Maybe youll find something you love. Or dress your mom up in an outrageous kindergarten teacher sweater just dont let her buy it!
Has your mom or grandma ever bought you something you actually wear? Tell us!
Happy Shopping,
