Im a twin. Whenever I meet people and mention "my twin brother," it always takes people by surprise. I also happen to be thirty seconds older than he iswhich is my lifelong claim to fame.
Ive always held that over his head, like "No, Jason, I get the front seat, Im older!" Immature, I know, but most of you probably know what siblings are like. Now imagine one exactly your age, whos always around, with the exact same friends as yours. Generally speaking, hes my best friend in the world, but I cant lie and say we dont fight.
Last weekend, we took a roadtrip to visit our little sister at summer camp. The drive is four hours. Needless to say, it didnt go so smoothly. Lets just say we dont have the same taste in music, and since I had to hold the steering wheel (yes, I was appointed the driver for the trip) he got to control the stereo. Yuck hardcore rap for 240 minutes straight can be pretty mind-numbing. After that car ride, I definitely needed my space!
However privacy-limiting it might be at times, I have to admit, being a twin has had a huge impact on my life. Going to separate colleges (me in the Midwest at Michigan, him in the Northeast at Syracuse) is definitely hard, but we do visit. And, as you can imagine, it was pretty fun meeting all his fraternity brothers!
Anyway, having a twin brother is the best. I get to have 24/7 boy advice from someone who actually knows firsthand what hes talking about! The only time that gets awkward is when the advice Im seeking is about one of his friends! :)
Do any of you have really cool siblings? Any twins out there? Tell me your stories!
