Celebs get free stuff . . . doesn't make me want to buy it.

Working for a national magazine has to be glamorous and fantastic, right? Otherwise there wouldnt be so many movies about it, like 13 Going on 30, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, or even Down With Love (Yum, Ewan...)! These movies about chic, fashionable gals presented everything I ever wanted to do with my life, like live in the Big Apple, meet celebrities, and write fantastically witty stories. So here I am, a CosmoGIRL! Summer 2007 Entertainment Intern, and little did I know that I would do all of these things on the very first day!!!
From the day I was offered the internship I had been bragging to all of my friends about how amazing my summer would be, fulfilling my dreams, while they were stuck back home in hot and humid North Carolina. I counted down the days until I made it to New York City, and Im finally here! Its 40 minutes until the end of my first day, Ive been here for 9 hours, and yet it went by so quickly!
Im bumming on my cousins couch, and after three weeks of a noontime wake-up call, 6:00 a.m. wasnt looking so hot, and it was offensively rainy out. But I was so excited, I was out of bed in a flash, and at CosmoGIRL! three hours later. My new boss, Rachel, had prepared me for the first half of the day, and no more than 20 minutes after I step on the CG! floor (so cute, by the way!), Im whisked away to video training where I learned how to work the camcorder, because at 10:00, The Click Five was coming to visit the Project 2024 girls and the other CosmoGIRL! interns, and sing a few songs! Not even an hour at the office, and already meeting a gorgeous band! The best part was that I got to hang out with them before and after the interview what nice guys! We talked about MY favorite music (I being the most important girl there, that is!) And did I mention theyre all so cute?! Because they are. As in, I will be marrying each of them at one point or another.
Not even two hours later, right after an amazing lunch, Rachel, Loren (a former intern), and I were off for yet another interview, this time with Cartel, who are currently the Band in a Bubble. We take a famous yellow taxi cab to the harbor, where the Bubble is set up, receive get this media passes (hello, scrapbook!), and, after waiting a few minutes, going inside the Bubble itself to talk to the band! Well, we werent really in the bubble, but in a doorway, where Rachel interviewed the band through a speaker box. And my goodness, even more hotties! Not to pick a favorite, but Im going to be keeping my eye on Nic. After waiting a few minutes while the band did a live feed for TRL, we gave the band shirts to sign and a few copies of CosmoGIRL! to read, which made them pretty happy.
And while there are only a few minutes left, the day might not yet be over! Rachel has tickets to see The Click Five and O.A.R. (whos doing a special, secret show) at The Knitting Factory tonight, but Im so tired that I might just crash on the couch tonight! After all, who knows what tomorrows going to bring!
Ciao for now!
