is sanjaya utterly horrendous?

I'm not ashamed to admit that I like Sanjaya Malakar. I think he's cute and I think he has a certain charm about him. I like that he's a risk-taker with his hair and I can definitely see the 17-year-old me having a major crush on him. But last night while watching American Idol, I realized that he's the worst singer on this season of show and quite possibly the worst singer to EVER make it this far on AI.

Now before any of you die-hard Sanjaya fans start posting hate comments, hear me out! Seeing as how I like Sanjaya so much, I gave him a chance and rooted for him since the beginning. I wanted him to be a good singer, but I think it has come to the point where I just give up on him. I mean, how could you compare his vocal ability with Jordin's? Or Phil's? Even Blake (who I'm just not loving) is a better singer than Sanjaya.

I know that the point of American Idol is to have America vote for its favorite, and the results have shown that clearly, America likes Sanjaya quite a bit. I hate to say it, but I think it's time for him to go home. I'll miss his big smile and his shocking hair-dos but he is not meant to be the next Idol. Simon hit it right on the head last night when he compared Sanjaya's performance to a karaoke routine. On one hand, I think he picked an appropriate song ("Something to Talk About") because this boy certainly does give everyone something to talk about...

I'm so anxious to see who goes home tonight. My prediction for the bottom three is: LaKisha, Phil (when is he NOT in the bottom 3?), and—dare I say it—Sanjaya. What do you guys think? Who's going home tonight? Post below and lemme know!
