Krista Gets Emotional

Imagine an artist who’s a mix of Queen Latifah, Evanescence, and Celine Dion. Kind of hard right? Well, Krista, a new 21-year old singer, songwriter, and musician from Brooklyn, New York, doesn’t get stuck in the world of genres and has taken inspiration from all these artists. Her music, whether beautiful vocals, or rap with hip-hop beats, shows this.

Like Krista’s music, her life has been a bit all over the place, and she doesn’t shy away from writing and singing about it. In her song “Please Don’t Go,” she speaks of the rough relationship she had with her parents — something many of us can relate to. Her honesty is one of many things that got Krista's foot in the door as an artist. Now she is preparing to release her debut album Taking Back Brooklyn.
