shoe lover!

From first through twelfth grade I wore a uniform 5 days a week. Being the product of private school education I never had to worry about what to wear every day until college. All I had was accessories and shoes to show off, especially in high school. There were “dress down” days, but those typically meant dressing up and showing off designer label clothes and shoes. Needless to say I became obsessed with labels that most normal teenage girls fell in love with because buying from stores that were known to be cheap was “frowned upon”. In my mind, especially with shoes, cheap=not made well=blisters=OW! In fact I used to cringe when my mom suggested I check out Payless. I have to say, I take back the cringing.

Now that I am 21, my mom doesn’t exactly buy all of my shoes for me anymore and because I still am a college student I can’t exactly afford designer labels on my own. Payless totally saved me though. Not only are the shoes affordable, but they are comfortable and made well. In fact one of my favorite pair of heels comes from the store, which is what the picture is of.

Even a third designer, Alice + Olivia, has come out with a line that will be joining Lela Rose and Abaete’s spring lines on the shelves of 400 Payless stores as of February 12th. The shoes are super cute and won’t break the bank.
