Learning to Snowboard

I'll admit it, if I'm going to get into something I want to be good at it. Last winter, as I was chugging up the magic carpet en route to the bunny slope, I decided there HAD to be a better way to work on my snowboarding skills (when I say "work on," I mean "get some"). So I packed up and sent myself off to summer camp in Mt. Hood, OR.

I was a little anxious because I'd only ridden a few times, but I can honestly say I had the best time EVER! My coach, Alex, was really good at making scary snowboarding maneuvers seem like no big deal. Jump? Ok. Pipe? Um... sure. Camp was a super-fun, no-pressure kind of place to learn - which could mean 360's and back flips - or being able to carve at a normal speed. And I mean, why sit around watching MadeM reruns when you could be in the park hanging out with the famous likes of Hana, Gretchen and Torah? Check out highcascade.com for the full story.
