list for life

I didn’t think twice when my boyfriend IMed me this week and sent me a link to a YouTube video. I mindlessly clicked on it and saw a guy perched over a ledge, giving the thumbs up sign. Cool, he's going bungee jumping, I thought. When I looked at the video more closely, I realized that it was my friend Malvin, who is studying abroad in Australia!

Today is my 21st birthday and Malvin's video made me realize how important it is to shake up my daily routine and do something exhilarating every once in a while "just because." He inspired me so much that I want to pen a list of life goals to accomplish before I die. I can't sit around and wait for courage to strike or my pile of schoolwork to get any smaller, because I may never get the chance to live them out if I do! Here are just some of the items on my list:

1. Scuba dive in the Great Barrier Reef.
2. Write a screenplay (I'm obsessed with going to the movies)
3. Conquer my fear of driving.
4. Make a scholarship in my name and pay for a girl to attend college.
5. Create positive change in the world.
