live earth rocks!

Greetings from Live Earth! CosmoGIRL! is backstage here at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ, in the press bubble (yup, literally a bubble!) where dozens of acts are performing in support of the “climate in crisis.” Go Green!

So far, Kenna, KT Tunstall, and Taking Back Sunday have rocked the arena with all their hits. And then Leonardo DiCaprio hit the stage to talk about why going green is such an important issue to so many celebs. “It’s an inconvenient, but undeniable truth,” he said about the state of the environment, urging everyone to pay more attention to planet earth. He then introduced former vice president Al Gore who urged everyone to check out the movie, The 11th Hour (check out the September issue of CG! for info!), which Leo produced. Talk about teamwork!

Carson Daly also popped into the press room to let us know that he’s recently switched to using a plastic coffee mug instead of disposable ones!

Now Keith Urban is on stage rockin’ out (Alicia Keys even joined him onstage for a song!)… and coming up soon, Ludacris, AFI, Fall Out Boys, Akon, John Mayer and Kelly Clarkson! I’ll be back with more in a bit!
