Meeting The Friends

So, last night I went on a "date," and I call it a "date" because it wasn't really a date. Although it wasn't like going out with a friend and it wasn't like going out with a potential boyfriend either - it was something aimlessly in-between. So for the sake of this story, I'm calling it a "date".

Anyway, back to my point, it's his birthday today and on our date, he invited me to his birthday dinner... along with 30 of his friends. Now some of you may be thinking, 'so what?' but this is my biggest fear realized - meeting all his friends at once. To me it's like standing in front of Simon Cowell, naked, singing and dancing to Summertime by New Kids On The Block - e.m.b.a.r.r.a.s.s.i.n.g.

A part of me wants to cancel but another part of me wants to get over my fear. And besides I have nothing better to do tonight :)

Do you have any tips on how I can keep my cool and make a good impression on his friends? I need all the help I can get!
