Hot New Nails that Dry Quick

June 9, 2009 at 12:00PM by Arielle Hixson |

French Manicure

Most of us are probably familiar with the procedure of getting our nails done — first the base coat, then the main color (about two times) and then a final finishing coat. After this we wait under a nail dryer for what seems like an eternity until we can grab our bags without worrying that we won’t mess up our beautiful manicure. That’s the typical nail procedure...but what if I told you that there is a new way to get your nails done?

Well a new trend nail trend has hit Hollywood: Minx Nails uses a nail polish that is actually a heat activated hard film. It lasts about 1-2 weeks and doesn’t chip, but slightly wears off.

A Minx procedure takes about as long as a typical manicure, but once it is finished there is no required drying time and you can leave as soon as possible! The most popular Minx nail color is probably the gold metallic found on Beyonce in her "Single Ladies" video. But you can get creative and choose from hundreds of patterns and even create your own custom design. Find a salon that carries Minx here. I might just have to book an appointment myself...

What do you think of Minx Nails? Would you get this procedure done?

xoxo,
Arielle
