When I'm sad I'm being "emo." When I'm happy I'm being "fake." When I'm confident I'm "self-indulged." When I'm not confident I'm "so self-conscious." When I'm being serious I am "taking things too seriously." When I'm being silly I'm "not taking things seriously enough." When I'm being an individual I'm "looking for attention." When I'm blending in I'm "a conformist." When I love myself I should "improve myself." When I hate myself I should "love myself." When I hate life I'm being "too negative." When I love life I'm being "too naïve."

At the end of the day, the week, the month, the year: can a girl ever catch a break?

We all have our days, our moods, our issues, our dirty laundry; but it seems that no matter how we choose to deal with all of these things we're inevitably doing it the wrong way.

So I'm issuing this manifesto to the world and to myself: ENOUGH!

From now on I'm forging my own path, starting with this: I'm making a list of everything I celebrate about myself, my life, my world and I'm inviting every CG! to make one too. Anybody who says we're being self-indulged, naïve, fake, too serious, too silly can just buzz off!
