iPod Nano Gets a Serious Makeover

September 15, 2009 at 6:46PM by Ariana Finlayson |

iPod Nano Family

Usually when Apple releases a new iPod it means a few different things: new colors, a different size, and more space for a smaller price. For this release, however, Apple has made a HUGE improvement – the Nano is not only available in beautifully bright colors, it also comes with a built-in video camera. Now you can click, shoot, and upload to YouTube, which is great for those "OMG!" moments. Besides, those 15-second video clips by phone weren't doing much. To enhance the experience of the video-recording capability, Apple has increased the screen size to 2.2 inches.

Two other cool new features are the built-in FM radio, (I only listen to the radio when I'm driving, and since I don't drive around the city I'm very excited about this), and a built-in pedometer, which is super-useful for those of us who go running. As always, Apple has kept the size ultra-thin and lightweight and the colors are stunning — I'm absolutely coveting the deep violet. It will match my favorite fall nail polish!

Will you be asking for a new iPod this holiday season? Save your gift-givers the hassle and let them know: $149 for an 8GB; $179 for the 16GB available at apple.com.

xoxo,

Ariana
