the new seven wonders of world

Is there one place in the world that you're dying to go? I've always wanted to go Petra, this ancient and mysterious city carved into the sandstone mountains of Jordan (it was featured in the movie "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade"). I'm a sucker for exotic travel. But I'd better hurry up if I want to beat the crowd. Petra has just been named one of the new Seven Wonders of the World in a global poll. More than 100 million people voted for what they considered the most amazing architectural marvel in the world and here are the results:

1. Brazil's Statue of Christ the Redeemer
2. Peru's Machu Picchu Inca Trail
3. Mexico's Chichen Itza pyramid
4. Jordan's stone city of Petra
5. Colosseum in Rome
6. The Great Wall of China
7. India's Taj Mahal

I've been to two of the places on the list (the Inca Trail and the Coliseum in Rome), so only five more to go! What's YOUR ultimate destination and why does it fascinate you? I'm totally curious!
