no more hairspray

I've been notorious for taking forever to get ready. It's all my hair's fault. Ask either of my roommates and they'll tell you how many times they've waited for me to put just one more product in my hair.

In high school, I fought my curls. I was loyal to my straightening iron until senior year, when I realized I'd spent too many hours stifling something that made me stand out. From then on, I reserved the flat iron for times when I was bored enough to waste an hour in front of the mirror.

Wearing my hair curly was much easier than straight. It took me maybe 15 minutes after a shower to work in leave in conditioner, gel, mousse or whatever new product I was trying that week. Note: The only hair product I've ever been loyal to is Frizz Ease Dream Curl spray.

But about a month ago my mom saw something on TV about a great product for curls called Mixed Chicks. She suggested I investigate, and I conducted some online research before ordering it. I tried the curl-defining system as soon as came in the mail. I think our relationship is one bound to last.

The days of my old multiple-step routine are gone. After using the Mixed Chicks shampoo and deep conditioner in the shower, all I have to do is work the leave-in-conditioner into my curls and go. I can actually let my hair air dry without gel! Let me repeat: No gel. It's awesome, it's easy, and my curls never looked better.

Now although I'm falling fast for this product, I'd still love to hear what product you girls use on your curls. Got any cool tricks you can share?
