no "one tree hill" this fall!

Well, the good news is that "One Tree Hill" isn't canceled. The bad news? It's not exactly back on the fall schedule either.

What does that mean? Well, it's classified as a "midseason" show right now, which means it would likely come back January at the earliest, and June at the latest. So we'll all have to be a little patient before we can see Chad Michael Murray, Sophia Bush, Hilarie Burton and James Lafferty back on the air.

But that's not the only big "One Tree Hill" news. When the show does return, the characters will be post-college! Yup, they're fast-forwarding through their entire college careers, and they'll be young adults tackling the real world. Will Lucas and Peyton be together? Will there be other marriages and divorces? Maybe a baby or two? How will we ever catch up? Well, the characters will be doing online diaries to get you up to speed on what happened during their college years. Those will be coming soon to The CW's web site.
