Like me, you've probably bought tons of Goody hair products from headbands to hair ties since, well, forever...the brand started in 1907! But if you've always thought of Goody products as just casual, take another look: they've got a chic yet cheap collection called Luxe that's perfect for prom.
The gals at Goody showed me these new slides and barrettes from the Luxe line, designed by Joni Lay. All pieces cost less than $8!
I love how the barrettes have a rubber grip on the clasp, to stay put in your hair all night long, even when you're rocking out on the dance floor. The stones are faceted and glittery so they sparkle in your hair, and the metal is textured to give off some vintage flair. The Jola and Tillie bobby slides are floral-shaped and feminine, while the Mattie, Madison, and Reese barrettes are more geometrically shaped and modern.
I usually wear my hair down straight at formal events like our Ultimate Prom, and I've shied away from using hair accessories, thinking I'll worry all night whether they're staying in place. I'm excited to try these pieces out (they're only a small sampling of the whole collection, which you can pick up at Targets, Wal-Marts, other mass retailers, and drugstores).
If you need inspiration on how to wear hair accessories, these celebs show us how it's done on MyPromStyle.com!
Have you thought of how you're styling your hair for prom yet? What's your plan?
